US-NJ-Parsippany-Temporary Assignment - Tax Research Analyst

We currently have a temporary assignment for approximately two months as a Tax Research Analyst in our Corporate Headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.  Under general direction and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the successful candidate will research, analyze, write and interpret changes to tax laws specific to individual federal and state income tax preparation.

Major Responsibilities

  • Research, identify and analyze changes to the tax laws specific to individual federal and state income tax preparation.
  • Updates Tax Education material with recent federal and state tax law changes.
  • Creates new Tax Education material based on the requirements of the franchise community.
  • Maintains tax content on the company website.
  • Researches and responds to tax related inquiries and issues from internal clients.
  • Develops simplified tax explanations and interpretations for the franchisee community and internal and external clients.
  • Verifies accuracy of tax-related reference, media, and marketing materials.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Taxation preferred. EA, CPA or other professional tax certification a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant individual tax preparation experience.
  • Proficiency with various software programs such Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Instructional design experience and familiarity with desktop publishing software a plus.
  • Experience using RIA, CCH, or similar research tools required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior communication skills – verbal and written necessary.
  • Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-paced technology based on environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.

Tax Analysis Manager

Special Projects Tax Accountant will support the tax planning function. You will assist in providing tax analysis for a variety of corporate and subsidiary transactions, due diligence and special projects. You will create tax impact schedules, spreadsheets, models and presentations.

This spot will base 100-125k

Education Required: Min. Bachelors
Vacation Time: 2 weeks/year

Job Requirements:
B.S. in Accounting/Finance, 5-8 years corporate tax experience required. Public accounting and Fortune 500 experience preferred. CPA or MS in Taxation preferred. MS Excel tax analysis modeling and MS Powerpoint presentation skills required.
